Natural Causes of Global Warming

Global warming is also partially caused by natural forces other than human activities alone. Most scientists believe that the causes of global warming are due to the emissions of greenhouse gases. These gases are responsible for trapping the heat that is radiated from the earth to keep a certain temperature within the surface of the planet surface livable by breathing plants and animals.

Major natural contributors to climate change include methane released from landfills or agricultural activities. Examples of which may come from the digestive systems of grazing animals. Burning of fossil fuels can also cause the increase of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere that potentially traps the heat. The loss of forests from forest fires weakens the release of oxygen but otherwise stores a great deal of carbon dioxide.

There have been accounts that parts of ice covered surfaces are now reduced drastically. Consequently since ice covered surfaces allows more solar energy to reflect and therefore give a global cooling effect, other ice free surfaces absorb more heat. These reduced icy surfaces, consequently accelerates global warming failing to neutralize the heat.

Other natural factors also influence global changes in temperature. Volcanic eruptions, for example, emit particles of sulfur dioxide. Active volcanic activities take place from time to time which accumulates certain chemicals in the atmosphere and increases its reserve. The earth's orbit in relation to the sun's output also contributes to changed temperature

Climate naturally changes in unexpected ways. Sea levels by nature rise and weather can become more extreme. This may mean intense and chronic typhoon in a specific areas, heavier rainfall followed by longer and drier droughts.

Temperature change may be caused by ocean current changes. Since the rise and fall of current creates global change, these currents have a significant effect on heat changes around the earth. Current in sea levels are understood to be directly influenced by the rotation of the sun or sun's orbit.

The sun's rotation around the earth's surface also influence the intensity of heat emitted to the earth. The distance of the sun from the earth determines the changes in the level of temperature earth will receive.

Both the natural causes and the human influence contribute to global warming. But nevertheless, human understanding should go beyond in adjusting to the changes done by nature and be more responsible with their activities so as not to proliferate the damage that has already taken place.
