As doubt about the hysteria of global warming
and anthropogenic climate change continue to grow amidst the scientific community and the public, a new marketing message by advocates of the theory is beginning to emerge. Much like how the Obama Administration has decided to forgo the use of the phrases ‘enemy combatant’ and the ‘Global War on Terror’ because they were deemed offensive, it is believed that messaging will help turn the tide and spur action on climate change. With the fact that there has been no global warming for the last 10 years, and in fact the globe has cooled over that period, it is understandable that the term is no longer desired. As Capitol Hill tries to salvage its climate change bill that implements a cap and trade tax likely to cost consumers thousands of dollars a year , Perkowtiz acknowledges that is a problem for the movement.
